Towards a Better Humanity
Dear friends,
In this period of health emergency, as well as socio-political one, I address you and all those who are suffering, nevertheless still cultivate faith and hope in overcoming the tremendous systemic crisis that grips us, in order to transform circumstance into an extraordinary opportunity to build a better world.
We are experiencing a turbulent period of transition, particularly dangerous not only because of Covid-19 pandemic, but due to the multiplicity of challenges on several fronts that mark an epochal passage for humanity, who has become globalized. Therefore, the challenge for the entire planet is to grant itself the tools to bring humankind towards the progressive realization of a more peaceful, healthier, fairer and freer world.
In the second half of the last century, the West has almost completed the westernization of the whole world, and almost all the countries that have undergone such homologation are submissive to its hyperconsumerist socio-economic model, which has led to the pollution and impoverishment of Nature, as well as of both society and interpersonal relationships, thus dehumanizing people; looking ahead, the process started is going to reduce people to superfluous human masses gripped by possessive-obsessive syndromes, incapable to organize their individual and collective defense.
By this time, as you can easily realize, the challenge is real, dramatic, urgent, in fact it cannot be postponed. However, overcoming it is not utopia. We can, but we must be up to it. How? It is necessary to be inspired by a psycho-socio-spiritual theoretical model, that has both immanence and transcendence at heart; this model is well expressed in the Bhagavad-gita, where it is said that humanity thrives when everyone offers his own peculiar talents (BG. IV.13). This is the only way to generate a healthy economy and a widespread, equally shared prosperity, that can be achieved by the fulfillment of one’s material and spiritual duty. Everyone who commits himself according to his inclinations, participates in social life by giving his own contribution, creating abundance and joy for all creatures, creation and Creator.
Taking one’s own responsibility still is a not very commune virtue. To succeed, it is necessary to know yourself in depth, to admit your mistakes and correct them, thus overcoming your limits thanks to a new model of thought and greater self-awareness, that makes you able to manage and transform your emotions, acting for the common good by freeing yourself from the tyranny of the ego, raising the quality of relationships and the joie de vivre.
Good relationships have the dynamic ability to transform habits and improve them, to encourage the development of the faculty of discernment and protect us from all forms of manipulation, free to decide and act according to our own vision and for the benefit of all, without being anymore subjected to induced conditioning.
Although the advanced degradation of today's society and the ongoing crisis has touched dangerous depths, we must be able to see that there exists a higher reality - beyond those who have greater responsibilities in the diffusion of this malaise - characterized by high consciousness and vision able to orientate towards the solution of current problems, thus shaping a brighter future for the benefit of a better humanity.
A true rebirth can only begin with the death of the ego and the rise of our inner reality: the soul.
Such rebirth can only be of spiritual nature, providing a new world view, that allows us to overcome the old one in which, and because of which, the totality of the conflicts, that are happening at present and have always happened in the past, constitute an uninterrupted warp-thread in history. It is a repetitive story, that has always been generated by the incapability to find harmony in relationships, due to an immense appetite for power – a will to power, quickly transformed into a will to fight - that induces man to take possession of the natural resources; as a consequence, their growing scarcity, caused by reckless exploitation, becomes the alibi for the subsequent umpteenth conflict.
It is urgent to start a non-violent anthropological, cultural and spiritual revolution, which should begin in the heart of each of us, in order to recompose the fracture between science and religion, by realizing our own metaphysical reality; by an elevated thought and virtuous use of modern technology, at the service of the collective evolution, this wounded planet can be transformed into a garden where humanity can live serenely and achieve the spiritual realization.
By the grace of God, and men and women of goodwill, even what appears to be impossible becomes possible.
